    When you find yourself in Northern California, perhaps to play golf at Pebble Beach or to drive along the Big Sur, take a detour and visit Carmel and the Bernadus Lodge nearby. The Lodge is beautifully located amidst lush hills, has a fine restaurant and offers pleasant rooms in its several cottages. We enjoyed Spa Room 6, a large corner room with a gas fireplace and outdoor private spa with a view toward the surrounding hillside.
