Earl of Orkney Room

   Overlooking the Irish Sea some 70 miles from Glasgow, Glenapp Castle is set amid magnificent gardens and woodland. Built in 1870, the Castle has been beautifully restored and furnished by the current owners, who oversee its every detail, including the preparation of the wonderful food that is served in the Castle’s cozy dining room. The Castle has two marvelous rooms with views. The one we recommend most highly is the “Earl of Orkney Room”, shown above, which offers marvelous views of the formal gardens through huge picture windows on three sides; the “Earl of Inchcape” is also a beautifully proportioned room with the same view although the windows are somewhat smaller. Both rooms come with fireplaces. This is a place to be savored, and returned to whenever you can.
