In a cove overlooking the Caribbean
Sea on the west coast of Barbados is the Sandy
Lane, by far the most elegant hotel on the island and our favorite
resort in the Caribbean.
The hotel has three golf courses, tennis, a magnificent spa, pool,
sumptuous buffets (breakfasts daily and dinners three times a week),
evening entertainment and dancing, a fine beach and much more.
And when there, drive to the Atlantic side of the island for a
great beach walk followed by a visit to the nearby Andromeda flower
garden, which is truly a world-class garden.
There are several rooms at the hotel with large balconies offering
great views of the beach and sea; we recommend Room 212 (circled in red), one
of the larger rooms in the “turtle wing.”
