Argomeda Room

Located in the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile’s premier wine producing regions, less than 80 miles from Santiago, is Hacienda Los Lingues, an estate which has been owned by the Angostura family for over 400 years. The estate comprises over 1000 acres of fertile land and about 8,000 acres of rolling hills which one can explore on horseback on one of the Hacienda’s own magnificent horses or from which one can enjoy a day of wine tastings in the nearby vineyards. The Hacienda has a number of buildings constructed around a central garden patio. Its rooms are somewhat dark but have antique country furnishings that provide an authentic feel. The room we recommend is the Argomeda room, shown in the photo above, for its more comfortable size. When at the Hacienda be sure to stay for dinner, which is a formal affair in the family dining room with porcelain dishes and crystal glasses where the guests meet and dine together around a large table on which the more important family antiques are resplendently displayed.
