Gingembre Room
Located high on a bluff on the northwest coast of France overlooking the Bay of Mont St.
Michelle, Chateau Richeux is one of several small residences in Brittany that are managed
under the name “Les Maisons de Bricourt”. With its sweeping view of the Bay and its access
to the coastline where one can enjoy a brisk walk along shell strewn beaches before Brittany’s
famous tides roll back in, and its proximity to the picturesque seaside village of Cancale, where
one can buy oysters and mussels freshly gathered and tasting of the sea, it is hard to imagine
a more romantic place than this hotel.
We stayed in and can highly recommend the junior suite “Gingembre”, pictured here, a nicely
appointed and comfortable room which has three bay windows offering spectacular views of
the sea. On a fine day the sunrise, seen through these windows, provides a truly memorable
experience.
