High on a hill overlooking the bustling city of Lyon, sometimes called the gastronomic capital of France, is a splended hotel in Lyon’s old town that is aptly named Villa Florentine since, with its panoramic views of the city, ochre colored walls and Italianesque architecture, it gives one the feeling of being in Florence. The hotel is noteworthy not only for its views--which can be enjoyed from the hotel’s several outdoor terraces as well as from its rooms--but also for its restaurant gastronomique, a window filled restaurant with outdoor terrace which appropriately is called Le Terrace de Lyon.
