Located in the countryside of the Cote d’Or along the banks of the picturesque River Ouche
in the heart of Burgundy is this 12th Century Abbaye, which has been beautifully renovated into
a lovely Hotel. The centerpiece of the restored Abbaye is its magnificent
dining room, set amid Gothic columns under which the friars who worshipped here themselves
once dined.
All the rooms enjoy stunning views of the Abbaye’s grounds but the one we recommend
most highly is the Fontenay junior suite, shown here, a large, comfortable room which has
two French doors opening onto the scene below.
