Situated on Lake Como just outside the small village of Cernobbio, this resort offers just about everything one might wish: swimming, boating, tennis, strolling along formal gardens, sunbathing, a great spa, excellent restaurant and marvelous views.It even has music and dancing on weekends and a 9-hole putting/pitching green, somewhat rough but still fun. We’ve stayed in Room 221, a junior suite with a balcony and waterfront views, that we recommend although we plan on our next visit to try Room 129, a larger corner room that also offers excellent views. For daytime excursions, drive to Belagio, a picturesque village on the opposite shore of the lake. There are also marvelous gardens to be seen in the area.
