The Gritti Palace was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway when he was in Venice and it is our
favorite hotel in Venice today. Shown here is Suite 216, our choice at the hotel because of
its size, grand windows, furnishings and views. Located magnificently on the Grand Canal
just a few bridges from San Marco, it overlooks the Santa Maria della Salute, that Baroque
masterpiece of a church that dominates the entrance to the Canal just across from the hotel.
